How do I place an
order?

do I place an order?
Simply fill in our order
form. After submitting your order, Happymoments will send
you an email within 24 hours summarizing all the item(s) purchased
and the total purchased amount, along with payment instruction,
material submission instruction and an order number for your
record.
How
long does it take to set up a wedding website?
For all our packages, a minimum of 16
working days (3 days for scanning + 10 days for production
+ 3 days for revisions) is needed for production. If
you have special request or special custom instruction for
your website, additional production time is required. Please
talk to us in advance to estimate the exact time needed for
your site's production. Please note that at busy times, we
may require you to book the production schedule in advance.
When
should I place my order?
You may place your order as soon as your pre-wedding photos
or engagement photos are ready. Website production could in
turn begin immediately. Depending on the package selected
and our schedule, production turnaround time may range from
10 days to 3 months. Please place your order immediately should
you be interested to avoid full-booking.
I
do not want to include any photos into my website before the
wedding, can I still order a Happmoments website? new
As your photographs are the top inspirations for our creativity
and ideas, it is required that you must submit at least 10
high resolution photos to us to work with. These photos could
be as simple as casual snapshots at a beach or a park, dating
photos, or photos of your reception venue. We could work with
any high resolution images. However, if you have absolutely
no photo to submit to us for layout production, we would not
accept projects of this nature. Should you wish to have a
brief pre-wedding outdoor photo session conducted by Happymoments'
photographers, please contact us for details & samples.
When
should I launch my wedding website?
For local weddings, it is suggested that the wedding website
should launched at least 1.5 to 2
months prior to your wedding day. For destination
weddings, the wedding website should launch at least 3.5 months
prior to your wedding day. For after wedding launch, the website
should launch within 3 months from your wedding day along
with your Thank You card to produce optimum result.
What
forms of payment do you accept?
We currently accept credit cards payment via Paypal, bank
transfer, and personal checks,
When should
I pay?
50% balance should be settled prior
to submitting your materials for web production. Remaining
balance is due in full PRIOR to site launch. For
busy period or reservation for promotional offer, 50% non-refundable
deposit payment should be made within 7 days after placing
your order in order for production schedule or the promotional
offer to be reserved.
Do you take
overseas order?
Yes. Happymoments welcome orders
outside Hong Kong. As most of our production workflow
can be completed online via email, FTP, or MSN, owning a beautiful
website by Happymoments is possible despite the distant location.
It may be a little surprising that despite we had served many
customers over the years, we had not met half of our customers
in person. The production flow does not required direct face
to face meetup. However, if you are residing outside Hong
Kong, you are required to submit your photos to us in digital
format (i.e.: scanned photos, or digital photos).

What is the difference
between a HTML website & Flash website?

A HTML website is build using pure HTML codes which produce
a static appearance. The website will load the pages and images
without any transition or animation effect. A HTML website
could still achieve slight animation effects with the use
of animated gifs, DHTML or javascripts. However the resulting
movement will not be as dynamic and smooth as a Flash website.
A Flash website is build using Macromedia Flash which produces
a visually dynamic and interactive appearance. The website
will load the pages and images with smooth transition (such
as soft fades, glow, or masks). The menu navigation could
be more interesting and generates a more memorable and interactive
browsing experience.

What is the difference
between Template, Half Custom, and Full Custom package?
new
TEMPLATE PACKAGE: Our
Template Package is a WYSIWYG (i.e.: what-you-see-is-what-you-get)
package. You would expect the final website to look 85-90%
identical to your selected template style. The flash intro,
fonts, layout composition, photo position, and setup cannot
be customize and every page should follow closely to the preset
template style's art direction. For a template order, our
designers would carefully incorporate your photos and contents
to our preset template to make everything match seamlessly.
We would also make slight adjustments to our design to make
the outcome optimal. We have a full range of template portfolio
references that demonstrate our high quality standards and
consistency in production. Despite it is a Template, the final
outcome is still noticeably personalized.
HALF CUSTOM PACKAGE: Our
Half Custom Package is a half customizable package. You would
expect the final website to look only 30% similar to our half
custom package samples. The website layout, font, colour,
background, photo position and setup can all be customized
according to the clients' preference. If you wish your website
design to complement your wedding theme, wedding colour, or
invitation, it can also be done. One key feature of the Half
Custom Package is that we avoid the use of stock photos for
the creation of the layout background. Every webpages' layout
are created from the clients' provided photos. The resulting
website becomes natural, personalized, and unique. The reason
why this package is still named "Half Custom" is
because there are still some restrictions and non-customizable
elements (eg: website size, album format etc). Please contact
us for portfolio to better understand this package' uniqueness.
FULL CUSTOM PACKAGE: Our
Full Custom Package is an 100% customizable package. There
is absolutely no restrictions for the design. Every page will
be designed according to the clients preference with our designers'
skills and style.
Where can I see
more recent samples of your work?

Our wedding website portfolio from year 2003-2007 can be viewed
upon direct enquiry only. This action was taken to protect
both our clients' privacy and our designs.
How can I give you
my scanned photos?
You can send your scanned photos (i.e.: digitalized photos)
to us by (1) conventional email (submission@happymoments.net),
or (2) FTP upload, or (3) burning / saving all your files
onto CD or DVD and mail to us by post. We would notify you
once we have receive your materials and would follow-up on
any missing materials.
How should I scan
my photos to get the best result?
For best result, you should scan each photo in a size not
less than 400 dpi, or 800
x 600 pixels. Save your file as
best quality jpeg format and send to us. If you are unsure
whether you have got the size or format right, you may email
a sample of your scan to us first. Our designers would give
you further instructions when needed. Click here

What if I don't
have a scanner? Can I send you the actual photos, album, or
film for scanning?
Yes. Our package includes photo scanning
& basic retouching service. We could scan negative
or slides, and prints or album up to A4 size. Thus, if you
prefer us to do the scanning, you may gather all your materials
in the correct sequence and contact us to arrange for material
pickup. Please allow 3 additional working days for the scanning
procedure to complete upon receiving your materials.
What if I don't
need some of the standard content sections? Can I delete those
sections from my site?
Yes. All you have to do is write down these special requests
on the STEP 5: 'SPECIAL INSTRUCTION' section in our order
from. This change can be made at no extra charge. You can
also change the preset section to other section (eg: "Our
Story" change to "Bridal Party").
Can
I change the colour on the selected website style?
Template Package: It
depends. We may be able to make such adjustment, depending
on the difficulty and how the change in colour affects the
overall layout. You can email
us your request first and we will see what the designers suggest.
Half Custom Package:
Yes.
Full Custom Package:
Yes.
Can I tell you
beforehand my photo preference so that your designers can
use my favorite photos onto the webpage's layout?
Yes. If you have special preference on specific photos, you
could (1) email us your photo preference instruction OR (2)
by sorting your photos into three different batches. The first
batch will be your favorite photos, the second batch will
be your semi-favorite photos, while the third batch will be
your least favorite photos. Our designers will try their best
to work with your preference during the customization process.
How many photos
can I put onto my website?
Aside from the photos that go onto the standard sections,
you can put up to 200 photos
into your Photo Album section. You may allocate your 200 photo
spaces among the 5 sub-albums (e.g.: childhood photos, dating
photos, pre-wedding photos, wedding day photos, honeymoon
photos etc..) in any way you wish. If you cannot use up all
the photo space available, you could always reserve them for
future use such as anniversary / other family photos. If you
wish to upload more than 200 photos, batch upload packages
(in quantity of 50, 100, and 200 photo space) are also available
for your additional purchase.
When should I send
you the photos for the Wedding Day section and the Honeymoon
Photo section?
You should send them to us as soon as they are ready after
your wedding. We will upload the
photos into the corresponding album sections at no extra charge.
Please allow 2-6 weeks production time for the after-wedding
updates to be ready (production time varies directly by quantity
of photos and the time of submission). There is no time limit
as to when is the latest time to submit your photos to us
for the after-wedding updates. We strongly suggest to update
your website within 3 month to produce best result. Please
note that our busiest times is August to December, update
submitted at this time would take 1-2 weeks longer than our
regular schedule.

Yes. Our website design can use one default language that
is to your preference (eg: English, Chinese, Simplified Chinese,
Japanese, Korean, etc). Should there be contents that require
a bilingual setting (eg: Wedding Information, Our Story etc..),
we could add a language button for the guests to click on
to see the other language version.
Can
all my friends & guests be able to view my website?

Yes. All our websites support cross-platform. Your guests
can view your website using the latest Internet Explorer,
Firefox,
or Safari browser with either a MAC or PC computer, and your
website would still functions perfectly. We believe this is
very important as from the statistic record, there are roughly
75% Internet Explorer users, 13% Safari users, and 12% Firefox
users. As a professional web design house, we ensure all your
guests can view your website perfectly.
Will
my website be searchable using major search engines such as
Google or Yahoo? new
No. We had purposely set all our clients' websites to be non-searchable
as a protection for our clients' privacy. Your website can
be set to searchable upon request only. This way, you can
type in keywords such as your name, your spouse' name, "wedding
website', or 'Happymoments' and your website will be listed
on the search results.
Which
screen resolutions are your websites designed for?
Our websites are optimized for 800 x 600 screen resolutions.
Our 2007 designs are optimized for 1024 x 768 screen resolutions.
What
if I already own a domain with web-hosting myself? Can
I still use your web design service?
Absolutely. All you have to do is to either (1) set a link
on your current website that points to your given forever
Happymoments website address (i.e.: http://yourname.happymoments.net),
or (2) change your DNS record, or (3) upload the designed
web files to your FTP server.
How
long will my website be online?
Happymoments will be hosting your
website forever.
However, if you have registered for a domain name (eg: www.yourname.com),
you must renew it yearly at a nominal fee in order for your
guests to continue visit your website at the same address
after the first year. Without renewal of your domain name,
we would automatically transfer your website to a new website
address under Happymoments.net (eg: http://yourname.happymoments.net).
You may re-announce to your friends about the change in website
address after the first year in such case.
Do
I own my domain address for life?
No. Like all other domains, your domain address must be renewed
yearly (for .com, .net, or .org). The charge for renewing
your domain is HK$160/year or HK$360/3 years.
Will
I have access to my personal web hosting account?
As our forever web hosting service is designed to use in conjunction
with Happymoments' websites, your web hosting account cannot
be freely accessible. If you prefer a total access web hosting
plan (eg: with FTP server, web control panel..etc), you may
purchase the normal hosting plans from our hosting
provider (which is our sister company) at HK$660 / year.
